Philadelphia – League Race 1 – 2025
We kick off th
e New Year with a New Venue, but a familiar race. We are going to De Werf, just off the N7 on Philadelphia Road. This is the perfect venue for cyclists to bring their family and friends along to – there is a market, a restaurant and plenty for the kiddies to do while Dad is out racing.

Registration and Costs
Online registrations will open on or before 5 January 2025. Costs for entry are as follows:

Please note that you need to purchase your race number and timing board which is necessary for timing and registration for the league. The cost for this is R50-00 and will be added to your first entry for the season.
Route
The cyclists will start at De Werf and head out on the Philadelphia Road towards Durbanville. At the intersection with the Klipheuwel Road, we do a left, past the Silos, followed by another left towards Malmesbury. Just before we reach Malmesbury, we do another left heading back to Kalbaskraal. Through Kalbaskraal and when we get back to the Philadelphia Road, we turn right back to De Werf.
Categories 1 and 2 will loop around the Kalbaskraal circuit an additional time

Race Numbers and Tags
Anyone who has not previously entered the league at the other events will be charged an additional R50 for your race number and timing board. Should you lose or forget your race number and timing board, you can purchase a new one at registration at a cost of R100.
Entry
Entries will open on or before 5 January 2025 and will close on Thursday 16 January at 21h00
Cancellation Policy
The organisers of the Western Province Road Cycling Leage reserve the right to cancel the race should circumstances dictate. If we cancel the race 7 or more days before the time (on or before 12 January 2025) we will refund those who have entered 60% of their race fee. Anytime after that, we will refund 30% of your entry fee. Alternatively, arrangements can be made with the registration team to carry the race fee over to the rescheduled event. Should you request a refund, when the rescheduled event is announced, you will be required to pay the full amount again.
Entrants who cancel their entries 7 or more days before the time (on or before 12 January 2025) will be refunded 30% of their entry fee. Cancellations in the 7 days prior to the event, or on the day itself, will not be refunded
Perdeberg – League Race 8 – 2025
Our final race of the league series will be around the Perdeberg area. Venue still to be confirmed.

Paarl de Ville Road Race
Our second race of the season sees us visiting Paarl de Ville. We will be doing route that many have raced before, but from a different place, thus putting a new spin on things.
The race consists of loops of a 50km route and we are offering either 150km or 100km races, depending on your preference. However, we are also including an 80km race of the U/17’s and the U/19 development riders.

Registration and costs
All registrations have to be completed and paid by Thursday 8 April 2021 because we need to perform a risk analysis and plan the start groups. These restrictions are needed to allow us to host a race while meeting the various Covid-19 restrictions and regulations.

All participants will receive a confirmation email on Friday 9 April to indicate their start group and start times. Each participant will also be assigned to either the blue or black registration area. On the day, follow the coloured arrows leading to the coloured gazebo. Please ensure that your email address is correct on your online profile so that you can receive this email.

Killarney – League Race 1
Century City Criterium
The Century City Sport Festival celebrates its 12th year of existence. The City Cycling Club has been hosting the criterium for the Sports Festival from the first edition and has seen it grow in leaps and bounds. Racing is around a 1.5 kilometre circuit which is secured by the very competent Century City Property Owners security staff. This is an ideal event to test the legs before the WP Road League that commences from the middle of March.
The season opening Century City Criterium takes place on 1 March 2020. The ever popular crit race is hosted by Century City in conjunction with the City Cycling Club. Racing starts at 8h00.

This race sees the start of the Autumn Series and the introduction of a new race to the program.
This race starts at the Attie van Wyk Primary School on Adderley Road, Durbanville Farms. Cyclists head out towards Philadelphia Road where they travel in a circuitous route around the Paardeberg area. A total of 96km for all categories.
Category 4 and scholars u/15 and below will not take part here.
