What a night of exciting track racing we had at the Jeanne Nell Memorial Track Classic. With so much excitement the event lived up to the expectations.
We had a few BIG surprises, especially in the Cat A category, which added to all the excitement.
THE TEA CUP
This trophy which was donated by Mr & Mrs Nell saw the sprinters competing in 3 events on a omnium basis, with the rider scoring the most points after 3 events being crowned the champion of the trophy. Jean Smit, after a brilliant ride in the Keirin ensured him the win of this beautiful and special trophy.

With the track cycling season upon us, we have compiled a provisional calendar for your convenience. Please bear in mind that this calendar is subject to change.
On a serious note, all riders must be affiliated to a club in order to compete at our local track events. After the second track classic NO ONE will be allowed to ride if he/she does not belong to a registered cycling club and you need to be in good standing with the club, paid up member. We will confirm membership with clubs whenever needed.

Shameeg Salie probably the most aggressive rider on the night was a force to be reckon with as he made it look so easy speeding around the track. Looking forward to see him compete in the WC Champs.
Jonathan Bower, Jean Smith, Matthew Ferguson, Tyler Lange, Carl Bonthuys to name but a few are riders to look out for at the champs. Well done to all riders.
