Afrimat Tour de Worcester
This iconic race takes the cyclists on an out and back from the Sneeukop Wine Lounge, through the Slanghoek Valley, quick visit to Wolsely before tackling Mitchels Pass to Ceres before heading back to Rawsonville again.

Our second race back after lockdown sees us return to the ever popular Perdeberg Cellars. Dirk, Rob and the rest of the team there are welcoming us back with open arms!
The race consists of loops of a 50km route and we are offering either 150km or 100km races, depending on your preference. However, we are also including an 80km race of the U/17’s and the U/19 development riders.
Please confirm your start times on this Start List. Some category changes had to be made to accommodate Covid19 regulations for distancing.

All registrations have to be completed and paid by Thursday 1 October because we need to perform a risk analysis and plan the start groups. These restrictions are needed to allow us to host a race while meeting the various Covid-19 restrictions and regulations.

All participants will receive a confirmation email on Friday 2 October to indicate their start group and start times. Each participant will also be assigned to either the blue or black registration area. On the day, follow the coloured arrows leading to the coloured gazebo. Please ensure that your email address is correct on your online profile so that you can receive this email.
Parking facilities will be on the field at Perdeberg Cellars. Please keep the restaurant parking open for restaurant clientele.
Start times will be published closer to the time, however the 150km route will be starting at 8h00. Thereafter, start times will be determined depending on the number of participants. These details will also from part of the race participant email that will go out.

The race consists of loops of a 50km route and we are offering either 150km or 100km races, depending on your preference. However, we are also including an 80km race of the U/17’s and the U/19 development riders.

Due to the uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 epidemic, the organisers of the Western Province Road League reserve the right to cancel the race should circumstances dictate. If we cancel the race 7 or more days before the time (on or before 22 May 2022) we will refund those who have entered 60% of their race fee. Anytime after that, we will refund 30% of your entry fee. Alternatively, arrangements can be made with the registration team to carry the race fee over to the rescheduled event. Should you request a refund, when the rescheduled event is announced, you will be required to pay the full amount again.
Entrants who cancel their entries 7 or more days before the time (on or before 22 May 2022) will be refunded 30% of their entry fee. Cancellations in the 7 days prior to the event, or on the day itself, will not be refunded.

Our final race of the league series will be at Perdeberg Cellars. Bring the family along for the season closing event. The restaurant at Perdeberg make the most amazing pizza’s, and the wine tasting venue will be open. So plenty to do after the race.

Should there be more than 12 women entering the event they will have a separate race

Anyone who has not previously entered the league at the other events will be charged an additional R50 for your race number and timing board. Should you lose or forget your race number and timing board, you can purchase a new one at registration at a cost of R100.
