The Jeanné Nell sprint classic is taking place at the historic Faure street stadium in Paarl on Friday, 23 February 2024.
Jeanné was one of the top sprinters in South Africa. We have great memories of him as a person and as an athlete. The keirin was his top event. He took his opportunities to show what he can do when he raced overseas. One of his finest moments was sharing the podium with the dutch National team duo in a keirin in Australia. Jeanné worked a full time job while still being focused and disciplined in the sport that he loved.
The Jeanné Nell sprint classic features a program that includes a sprint tournament with the final race of the night being the keirin.
More than 80 riders entered and 15 of these riders are in the sprint tournament. This event has free spectator entry. Racing starts at 7pm.
